Dr Joe's book on Eczema
"Do you remember me? I’m the girl from California. Thank you so much for changing my life. Mom won’t believe this when she sees me". An attractive young woman had emerged and she had lost weight due to our recommended changes to her diet.

Dr Williams interest in eczema began when he developed eczema in his second year at Medical School. There was little relief from treatment prescribed by a dermatologist and other doctors. The first useful therapy that relieved the itch and rash was from a combined mixture of a topical steroid and anti-fungal cream, in an experimental venture in Napier in 1963 with a pharmacist colleague for his 5 year old daughter, who had moderately severe eczema which did not respond to treatment from the GP and a dermatologist. The child had allergies to a number of foods including tomato sauce, eggs, peanuts and cheese. The eczema responded well to the mixed cream, low dose antihistamine and food avoidance. She was the first child to receive the treatment that formed the basis of "Eczema- Care Therapy".

  • Infant seborrhoeic eczema, appeared at 2 weeks old on scalp, face, neck, skin creases - worse after 3 months.

  • Atopic eczema for 12 years, suffered sleep deprivation, stress and depression. Food allergy - very high IGE level.
  • Photos: Came from Australia for her eczema. Left after 5 days treatment a much happier person.

  • Severe atopic eczema with generalized rash and infection. Came from Sydney with mum, sent from hospital to clinic by a nurse.
  • Photos: Her eczema was clear after 7 days and still clear 3 weeks later. Returned from Sydney 1 year later, her eczema was totally clear.
