Pacific Health Hub is an online hub supporting more Pacific people into jobs in health. It is an initiative of Counties Manukau Health.
Pacific people make up 22% of the Counties Manukau population and the number is set to grow by 25% by 2020. Yet, in South Auckland, only 8% of medical professionals are Pacific people. Pacific Workforce Initiatives aim to redress this imbalance, and the Pacific Health Hub underpins this programme providing easily accessible information online.
The Auckland District Health Board, Waitemata District Health Board and Counties Manukau Health collaborate on various programmes and initiatives to achieve more Pacific people working in health jobs.
