Work Placements / Internships
Depending on the course you're studying, you may be required to complete work placements or an internship. If you're a clinical student, your tertiary provider helps you to secure work placements as part of your coursework. If you're a non-clinical student, we can help you get one foot in the door with our internships programme.

Non-clinical internships – Counties Manukau Health
Get paid while you gain exposure to the different programmes and projects within the Pacific Health Development team at Counties Manukau Health. We offer fixed term and graduate positions for non-clinical tertiary students interested in working in the health sector.
This is an opportunity for Pacific tertiary learners to be exposed to the design, delivery, measurement, and reporting of our programmes and projects. An additional component is to provide general administrative assistance to the Pacific Community and Workforce team.
Eligible interns will be:
- A New Zealand or permanent resident of Pacific descent
- Studying towards a level 7 or higher tertiary qualification with a preference of individuals enrolled in a health related and/or public relations course/qualification
- Registered student of Programme W&AT!
